Role Description The Personal Injury Paralegal will support attorneys by managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution in a full-time capacity. This on-site role, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, includes drafting and organizing legal documents, maintaining case files, and preparing materials for hearings, mediations, and trials. Day-to-day tasks involve managing case files, reviewing medical and insurance records, communicating with clients, providers, and opposing counsel, and tracking case deadlines. The paralegal will also assist with settlement preparation, lien resolution, and data entry into DearLegal's integrated case management system to ensure accurate and timely case processing. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law and personal injury practice, including familiarity with litigation procedures and court rules. Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting complaints, discovery requests, correspondence, and settlement documents. Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and court personnel. Research abilities for gathering case facts, reviewing medical and accident reports, and identifying relevant legal authorities. Document Review skills to analyze medical records, insurance policies, and legal filings for accuracy and completeness. Relevant experience as a personal injury paralegal or legal assistant in a plaintiff-side or defense firm is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment. Proficiency with legal case management software and common office applications; experience with modern digital workflows is beneficial. Associate's or Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred, or equivalent practical experience in personal injury law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
