Associate Attorney (Personal Injury/Workers' Compensation)

Robert Half Legal has partnered with a highly respected plaintiff's law firm in downtown Chicago on a direct-hire Associate Attorney position. This position will manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury and workers' compensation matters from initial filing through resolution, including settlement, mediation, and trial. The ideal candidate will have personal injury litigation and/or workers' compensation experience, exceptional client service skills, and a desire to help injured clients obtain favorable outcomes.Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury and workers compensation matters from filing through resolutionDraft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responsesTake and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expertsAttend and argue motions, status hearings, case management conferences, and other court appearancesConduct legal research and prepare memoranda in support of litigation strategyNegotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel throughout the litigation processCollaborate with clients, experts, and medical providers to develop and advance casesPrepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trialParticipate in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and courtroom supportCompensation & BenefitsBase salary ranging from $120,000–$150,000+, depending on experienceMultiple ways to bonus - Mid-year & End-of-Year bonus, referral bonus', etc.Medical (6 plans to choose from), dental, and vision insurance401(k) + 3% profit sharePTOLife InsuranceLong-term and short-term disabilityHow to Apply:For immediate consideration, please email your resume directly to Justin Rambert - VP, Recruiting Manager - Permanent Placement at justin . rambert @ robert half com
