Respiratory Therapist - Emergency Department

Job Description Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion - Aurora, CO Department: Respiratory Care Main Work Schedule: Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Nights Pay: $31.61 - $47.41 per hour (dependent on relevant experience). This position is onsite with no hybrid or remote option. Minimum Requirements Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure. NRP certification within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit. PALS certification within 1 year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit. BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card valid through sixty days of hire. Responsibilities Provide top‑of‑scope practice in a direct patient care environment using respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to promote optimized care. Partner with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes. Prioritize patient wellness and evidence‑based practice. Precept and mentor new clinicians or trainees. Demonstrate proficiency in technological and ventilator integration across multiple levels of care. Contribute to patient safety and quality at the point of care.
