Registered Nurse – Progressive Care / Step Down (IMC/PCU)

Contract | Nights | 36–48 Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical step down / progressive care unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a step down, progressive care, IMC, or PCU setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for patients with complex, multi-system diagnoses in an intermediate or step down care environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity patient populations including those with neurological and substance abuse-related conditions
