Location 1501 McKinney Street,Suite 800,Houston, TX, 77010,United States Job Category HR Generalist Employee Type FT Exempt Description Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the execution of day-to-day Human Resources administrative and transactional activities that support the employee lifecycle. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of HR transactions while delivering exceptional customer service to employees, managers, and applicants. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate all new hire and separation administration. Process employee status changes including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and organizational changes. Coordinate recruiting efforts including posting positions and scheduling interviews. Process Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks. Schedule training sessions and track training compliance. Prepare FMLA and Short-Term Disability paperwork. Assist with regulatory reporting and audit preparation. Maintain employee records across HR systems, benefit platforms and other compliance platforms in accordance with company policy and legal requirements. Perform routine HRIS data audits to ensure accuracy and completeness, support data integrity initiatives and process improvements. Process employee benefit enrollments and qualifying life event changes and support annual Open Enrollment activities. Serve as the first point of contact for general HR inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources. Coordinate logistics for intern programs and other employee events. Provide cross-functional backup support for payroll processing, benefit invoice reconciliation and audits. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Physical activities of the position include reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Occasional lifting or moving of files, supplies, equipment, or event materials weighing up to approximately 10 pounds may be required. Occasional travel to company offices, operational locations, recruiting events, training sessions, or employee meetings may be required. Education and Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience. Knowledge of Human Resources principles and employment practices. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, benefits, or payroll administration preferred. Experience working with UKG Ready or similar Human Resource Information Systems preferred. Experience supporting multi-state employment environments preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the HR team. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
