Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced yet supportive, allowing PTAs to thrive while collaborating with experienced Physical Therapists and a dedicated front office team. You'll primarily work onsite at our facility, contributing directly to patient care initiatives from Monday to Friday, with typical hours running from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Implement personalized treatment plans as designed by supervising licensed Physical Therapists, tailoring interventions to individual patient needs.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and mobility training, utilizing various modalities to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress within our electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients on exercises, body mechanics, and self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and engagement in their rehabilitation.
• Monitor patient safety and technique throughout treatment sessions, providing constructive feedback and support to promote optimal recovery.
• Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists, administrative staff, and referring medical providers to coordinate care and maximize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele you will serve primarily includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgical procedures, as well as athletes seeking rehabilitation from sports-related conditions. Our focus is on helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and confidence, facilitating their return to daily activities and athletic performance.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New York State is required.
• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Certification in CPR and BLS.
• Demonstrated friendly demeanor, motivation, and ability to collaborate effectively as a team player.
• Outstanding communication skills, with an emphasis on patient engagement and education.
• A genuine interest in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation practices.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred, though new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (WebPT, NetHealth, etc.) is advantageous.
• Interest or experience in manual therapy techniques, functional movement training, or performance rehabilitation would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

• A competitive hourly wage or salary from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience.
