Senior Accountant

Our client, a $500M PE-backed innovator in the events and media sector, is poised for further growth with a 15% revenue increase last year. They’re seeking a Senior Accountant, to spearhead their Americas business unit, offering the chance to wield advanced financial tools and significantly impact their trajectory. Working under the Accounting Manager, a leader with a stellar track record, this is a vital role in a dynamic, expanding global enterprise. Role Overview You'll focus on high-level technical and analytical accounting tasks, including financial reporting, lease accounting ASC 842, and/or revenue recognition ASC 606. Manage core general ledger activities and month-end and year-end closings, as well as the preparation of annual reports. Conduct comprehensive variance analyses comparing actuals against budgeted figures for income statement accounts and perform sequential monthly variance assessments for balance sheet accounts. This includes specialized analyses for international entities. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation. Embrace and integrate new technologies to refine existing accounting practices, aiming to boost efficiency and accuracy.
