Registered Nurse - Surgery Department

As a Registered Nurse in the Surgery department at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your primary responsibility will be to assess patients' health status, administer medications, and monitor vital signs to ensure their safety and comfort. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or equivalent nursing degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a surgical or critical care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Previous experience in a surgical nursing role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' vital signs during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams in the operating room.
• Provide post-operative care, including pain management and wound care.
• Educate patients and families on recovery protocols and follow-up care.
