Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or proof of eligibility)
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, or related classroom experience
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring
• Ability to foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet a variety of learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and implement IEPs according to state and federal regulations
• Plan and adapt lessons that accommodate a range of exceptional learning styles and abilities
• Assess students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and service providers
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and plans
• Utilize technology, resources, and accommodations to enhance student learning
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
