Exempt Position - Full-Time

Position Overview

Global Gourmet Catering seeks a dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our high-volume catering and restaurant operations. The position is responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences while maintaining our commitment to sustainability, local sourcing, and world-class service.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
• Drive operational excellence across all catering and restaurant functions
• Manage and develop a diverse team of culinary and service professionals
• Coordinate with event planners and clients for special events and catering functions
• Oversee food cost, labor cost, and inventory management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations
• Implement sustainable practices aligned with Global Gourmet's environmental commitments
• Manage multiple venues and off-site catering operations
• Coordinate with local vendors and maintain farm-to-table relationships
• Handle high-profile client relationships and VIP events
• Maintain quality control standards across all service points
• Develop and execute staff training programs
• Manage budgets and financial reporting
• Coordinate with marketing team for social media and promotional activities

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of catering or restaurant management experience
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven track record in high-volume catering operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Proficiency in catering/restaurant POS systems and Microsoft Office
• ServSafe Manager Certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with sustainable restaurant practices
• Knowledge of Bay Area food scene and local vendors
• Multi-unit management experience
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English preferred)
• HACCP Certification

Working Conditions
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in various weather conditions for outdoor events
