RN - OR - Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Operating Room team at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their surgical experience.

Schedule: Day shift with 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, primarily Monday through Friday, with potential weekend call shifts. There is a 30-minute callback requirement, on-call per unit rotation.

Certifications & Education:

• Active RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• BLS or ARC-BLS certification (or BLS-I)
• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma (required); Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program with clinical hours

Experience:

• Less than 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• Previous experience in perioperative or operating room nursing preferred

Skills:

• Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Basic computer literacy and ability to utilize electronic health records
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond to emergencies professionally
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills

Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
