Job Summary The Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) works in inpatient and/or outpatient settings providing a wide range of treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. You will utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents and incubators. The patient population may range from newborn to geriatric. You will educate patients and their families about treatments, support groups and other available programs. Responsibilities Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures. Measure ventilator volumes, pressures and blood gas analysis. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment. Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. (CRT/RCP‑State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner. Vocational School Graduate. HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is located in west Miami‑Dade County. Our acute care facility has 417 beds and includes trauma, burn, surgical, women’s and children’s, behavioral health and diagnostic services.
