Psychiatry Physician - Adult Inpatient

Job Summary Inpatient Psychiatry - Adult (Onsite only) Job Duties Geisinger and Acadia Healthcare have formed a joint venture partnership to build and operate two behavioral health facilities, one in each of its Central and Northeast Pennsylvania regions. These facilities serve as acute care hubs of an enterprise system of behavioral health care. Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast – Opened August 2023. Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Danville – Opened August 2025. Acadia serves as joint venture facility administrator. Centers are contemporary, freestanding health care facilities designed and constructed using advanced approaches to quality and safety. Serve both adult and pediatric populations. Offer Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Brain Stimulation Therapy. Individuals with common psychiatric diagnoses including Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma-Related Disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, and Substance-Use Disorders. Licensed initially for 96 inpatient beds with capacity to add an additional 48 beds. Both facilities are approximately 72,000 square feet. Use EPIC electronic medical record documentation. Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. The role is accountable for satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
