As a valued member of a special education district, you'll work with K-12 students during two key periods: the Extended School Year (ESY) and the regular school year (NSY). These assignments bring opportunities to explore new approaches, learn from seasoned colleagues, and enrich the lives of students.


Qualifications:

• Active Michigan school social worker certification (310) - please provide proof with your application
• Experience in K-12 school settings, preferably within special education
• Capacity for onsite-only responsibilities; remote work is not available
• If certification is pending, secured supervision must be arranged before interviewing

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to K-12 students in a special education setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and school staff
• Support student well-being, advocacy, and overall success
• Maintain strong communication with students, families, and educational partners
