Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We're looking for a caring and committed School Social Worker for the 2026/2027 school year for a school in Pontiac, MI ! In this role, you'll support students' social, emotional, and academic growth, helping them overcome personal and social challenges that may affect their school experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct Assessments: Evaluate clients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide Counseling and Support: Offer emotional and psychological support through individual and group sessions.
• Manage Cases: Coordinate care by working with clients, families, and other professionals; monitor progress and update plans as needed.
• Advocate for Clients: Ensure clients have access to necessary resources and services; make referrals as needed.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond to emergencies and provide immediate support.
• Community Engagement: Conduct outreach and educational activities to promote social well-being.
• Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
• Collaborate with Professionals: Work with healthcare providers, educators, and other social workers to deliver comprehensive support.

Master Degree in Social Work from a State Board- approved program
Temporary or full School Social Work approval from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
