Certified Medical Assistant - Neurology

Job Overview Novant Health Neurology - Matthews is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost‑effective service and care for the people within the practice population. What You'll Do Manage and respond to in-basket messages in a timely manner. Coordinate and process prior authorization requests. Room patients and prepare them for clinical visits. Collect and record patient vital signs accurately. What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Current certification from one of the approved registries listed below, or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Candidates must provide proof of certification from any of the following: CMA with AAMA, CCMA with NHA, RMA with AMT, American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If not currently certified, candidates must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of hire and sign an education agreement. CMA, CCMA, RMA certification: current certification required. Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Driver's License (Palliative Care Only), required. Additional skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
