Certified Medical Assistant We are seeking a detail‑oriented, compassionate, and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Psychiatry Southpark team. This role plays an essential part in supporting our providers, delivering high‑quality patient care, and ensuring efficient clinical operations within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. What You’ll Do Room/triage patients Complete prior authorizations Manage clinical patient advice requests and refill requests Facilitate completion of FMLA and disability paperwork Embody the Novant Health human experience by delivering kindness, empathy, and professionalism in every encounter Answer phones for clinical calls What We’re Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates must provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries, including: CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Other certifications as listed above Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within six months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Driver’s License required. Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing.
