Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Michigan, starting March 25, 2026, and continuing ongoing. This role involves scheduled clinical hours, overnight, and weekend call duties, with a focus on a variety of GI procedures. The position offers an engaging environment with a well-established endoscopy team and requires supervision of residents/teaching. Practice Info Average 12 procedures per day 4 procedure rooms / Endo suites Olympus equipment Propofol use Well-established, highly accomplished endoscopy team Facility Trauma Level: 2 Responsibilities Perform Upper GI endoscopy with foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices Perform ERCP (Diagnostic + Therapeutic procedures) Perform PEG placement (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) Perform Esophageal dilatation/manometry and Esophageal manometry interpretation Perform Small bowel biopsy Perform Lower GI endoscopy, Flexible + Rigid Sigmoidoscopy, and Colonoscopy with biopsy + excision of polyp Perform Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Responsible for all charting and pathology follow-up Compensation Weekly Direct Deposit Top Rated Malpractice Insurance In-House Travel Agency 24/7 Recruiter Availability Experienced In-House Privileging Coordinators Shift & Schedule Coverage from June 12 – June 15, 7 AM – 7 AM Coverage from December 11 – December 14, 7 AM – 7 AM Monday–Friday, 9-hour shift with 1-hour lunch Overnight call: 15-hour call shift Weekend call: 24 hours Seeking full block coverage only Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time Required: 20 minutes Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology Licensed in Michigan only ABLS ACLS ATLS BLS ERCP Resident/teaching supervision required
