Position Information The University of Texas at San Antonio (UT San Antonio) is a nationally recognized, top‑tier public research university. Salary Range: $53,196 – $58,900 annualized. Job Summary The Program Manager oversees a portfolio of related projects, coordinating them to ensure alignment with the department’s long‑term strategic goals, budget, and timelines. The role defines program strategies, monitors project timelines, allocates resources, and mitigates risks to achieve organizational objectives. They act as a central liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and executives to ensure successful, high‑quality program delivery. Core Responsibilities Schedule, plan, coordinate, and administer major programs; develop departmental goals and operational procedures. Support undergraduate students, meeting with at‑risk students, tracking academic progress, and organizing career exposure events. Organize recruitment and other events, including student orientations, graduation events, and manage marketing efforts to attract prospective students. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and senior leadership, providing regular updates on program progress, KPIs, and performance. Identify potential issues, analyze impacts, and develop contingency plans. Analyze data to assess program effectiveness, draft comprehensive reports for senior leadership, and provide recommendations. Lead a team to ensure efficient processes and workflows meet departmental strategic objectives. Collaborate with other university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. One (1) year of related work experience. Ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in a related field. Event planning experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Verbal and written communication. Collaboration. Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business‑related events. Workdays, areas, and hours may vary depending on department needs. Physical Demands Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally. This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility. The position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable.
