The Educational Staffing & Hiring Coordinator supports the placement of substitute educators and a mixed school-based workforce. Reporting to the Manager, this role coordinates recruiting and hiring activities for approximately 26–50 hires per month, partners with schools to understand staffing needs, and manages candidate onboarding through the first day.

Responsibilities

• Source candidates for substitute educator and school-based workforce positions.
• Screen applicants and coordinate interviews.
• Manage hiring coordination for approximately 26–50 hires monthly.
• Administer background checks and maintain accurate staffing records.
• Manage onboarding activities through each candidate’s first day.
• Use a dedicated applicant tracking system, spreadsheets, shared drives, and integrated platforms to support recruiting and staffing processes.
• Build and maintain school partnerships by following up on staffing needs.
• Place substitute teachers based on school requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in educational staffing and hiring coordination.
• Associate degree with relevant staffing or school administration experience.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment coordination.
• Experience administering background checks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Good communication skills.
