Travel Medical-Surgical RN in Concord, NC

Schedule/Hours:

• Day and night shifts: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement
• Holiday coverage: 75% of recognized holidays
• Schedule cycles every 6 weeks

Professional growth is at the forefront in this role, as you'll work across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units, supporting diverse patient populations-primarily adults and geriatrics presenting with acute and chronic conditions. The environment offers structured orientation and the collaboration of a devoted interdisciplinary team, providing valuable insight into various resource and leadership models across several facilities.


Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Tele RN experience (Resource Team)
• Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Med/Tele skillset: including stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and tube management, PCA pumps, and medication gtt management
• Proficiency with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell systems
• Flexibility to float to various nearby facilities within the specified region as needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to adults and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses (COPD, CHF, pneumonia, MVC injuries, and more)
• Maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios (acuity dependent), collaborating with CNAs, secretaries, and a supportive charge nurse team
• Independently monitor and interpret telemetry
• Effectively manage cardiac drips, blood products, and complex medication therapies
• Navigate and document using cutting-edge healthcare technology
