We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support front-end clinic operations in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. This contract position plays an important role in creating a welcoming patient experience while handling registration, appointment coordination, billing-related questions, and medical record support. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting and communicates effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams.

Clinic hours: Monday-Friday 6am -5pm and Saturday 6am-330pm Closed on Sundays. Position is 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate patient check-in, pre-registration, and registration activities to ensure accurate and efficient intake processes.

• Arrange appointments for assigned departments using scheduling systems and provide patients with clear preparation or testing instructions.

• Gather and verify demographic, insurance, and claims-related information while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

• Obtain required referrals, authorizations, signatures, and supporting documentation to help support reimbursement and revenue cycle workflows.

• Address patient and departmental inquiries promptly, resolving concerns with a strong focus on service quality and professionalism.

• Maintain and update patient records and account details in the appropriate systems in accordance with clinic procedures and compliance standards.

• Communicate operational issues, documentation gaps, and service concerns to leadership to support timely resolution.

• Contribute to a respectful team environment and recommend practical improvements that enhance workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.

• Previous experience in patient registration, scheduling, medical office support, or a similar healthcare administrative role.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patient populations and staff.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, billing support, and reimbursement-related processes.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while handling frequent interruptions and balancing several tasks at once.
• Proficiency with scheduling platforms, office systems, and electronic documentation practices.
• Understanding of healthcare policies, compliance expectations, and payer guidelines, including Medicare when applicable.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work on site consistently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
