Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Deterrence in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities in a behavioral health care setting.
- Respond to incidents, behavioral health emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
