Welder/Fitter

Join a growing fabrication team building custom steel projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop. We're looking for a skilled Welder/Fitter who takes pride in quality workmanship, can read fabrication drawings, and has experience working with a variety of metals.

What You'll Do

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and other metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Fit, align, and weld parts to specifications
• Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy
• Work closely with team members to ensure safe and efficient production
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

What We're Looking For

• Experience with MIG welding (Stick welding a plus)
• Ability to weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Strong blueprint and fabrication drawing interpretation skills
• Knowledge of shop safety practices and PPE requirements
• Reliable work ethic and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to pass a MIG weld test on carbon steel
• Experience with overhead cranes, grinders, and fabrication equipment
• AWS certification is a plus

Work Environment

Industrial fabrication shop producing large steel structures. Available shifts include Days: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (4-day workweek) and Nights: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM (3-day workweek). Enjoy a hands-on, collaborative environment where quality craftsmanship is valued.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
