The Day-to-Day Counsel high-net-worth families, individuals, and corporate clients regarding the administration and strategic disposition of their estates. Design and implement basic to advanced lifetime, estate, and charitable planning strategies. Partner with corporate clients on complex business succession issues and advise charitable institution clients on structured planned giving matters. Conduct high-level research and analysis regarding complex state law and federal tax issues. The Ideal Candidate 3+ years of dedicated experience in estate planning, wealth preservation, and tax law. Must possess an active Missouri law license (or be eligible for immediate admission). Proven experience with federal transfer tax and related income tax matters, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax. Hands-on experience drafting and implementing core planning documents, including revocable/irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney. Proficient with advanced estate and tax planning strategies, such as defective grantor trusts, GRATs, installment sales to grantor trusts, and CRTs. Experience drafting premarital and marital agreements within the framework of wealth preservation. Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex tax and legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for clients.
