Outbound Sales Rep - Business Development

About the Position As an Outbound Sales Rep, you’ll be instrumental in supporting new and existing customers through outbound sales and personalized account management. Our customers expect expert consultation regarding equipment usage, job site management, inventory cost‑control measures, and a frictionless rental process. Responsibilities Qualify and quantify the needs of our existing customer base by utilizing CRM program, SalesForce.com, and persuasive selling techniques. Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts in compliance with company policies. Drive overall active customer growth, used sales and YoY rental revenue growth for assigned book of business. Communicate to a customer any terms or conditions applying to a request. Validate and collect primary decision maker’s contact information and customer needs for future sales and marketing campaigns. Identify and qualify an equipment request to ensure it will suit the customer’s requirements. Recover declining and dormant customers via sales tools and United Rentals value proposition. Coordinate with inside and outside branch staff to ensure customer satisfaction. Learn about branch operations and use accurate IT systems for quotes, rentals, sales, reservations, and territory management. Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and sales in accordance with pricing policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications College degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 year sales and/or construction equipment experience. Prior inside sales with outbound calling preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook. Reliable, dependable and professional. Proficient in RentalMan and related tools. Excellent time‑management, organizational, and communication skills. Position may require flexibility in days and hours of work schedule. Safety‑sensitive role according to United Rentals policies.
