Accountant/Financial Management AnalystFort Bragg, NCJob DescriptionCSCI Consulting is seeking a highly motivated Accountant / Financial Management Analyst to support critical financial management operations for a DoD client at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in federal accounting, resource management, and financial systems to identify discrepancies, resolve complex transactions, and strengthen the accuracy and integrity of financial data.This role requires close coordination with government personnel, budget analysts, program action officers, and external organizations to ensure timely and accurate financial execution.ResponsibilitiesResearch, analyze, and resolve unmatched transactions and accounting discrepanciesInvestigate and clear IDoc failures within GFEBS-SA and related financial systemsReview, reconcile, and adjust commitment and obligation balances to ensure financial accuracyAnalyze Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) and recommend corrective actions and adjustmentsSupport month-end and year-end accounting activities and financial reconciliationsIdentify root causes of financial processing errors and recommend process improvementsPartner with Budget Analysts, Resource Managers, and Program Action Officers to resolve financial issues and improve executionCoordinate with external stakeholdersSupport audits, financial reviews, and compliance initiativesMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial management, budget execution, resource management, or related disciplineActive Secret Clearance required (TS/SCI preferred)Demonstrated experience supporting Department of War financial management, budgeting, or resource management activities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced mission environmentWorking knowledge of federal accounting principles, commitment accounting, obligations management, and fiscal law conceptsCreativity and adaptability in problem-solvingAbility to work with clients to understand their needsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional presencePreferred SkillsExperience with GFEBS or GFEBS-SAPrior experience supporting U.S. Army financial management or resource management operationsExperience resolving accounting discrepancies, unmatched transactions, and ULO reviewsAbility to work in a team environment, as well as independentlyStrong customer and vendor relationship skillsDemonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policiesMotivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value CSCI Consulting
