Trader / Portfolio Manager / Operations Specialist

Senior Licensed Trader & Investment Operations Manager Singer Wealth Advisors , a growing independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) based in Boca Raton, Florida, is seeking a Senior Licensed Trader / Investment Operations Manager to join our team. This is a key investment operations role responsible for firmwide trading, portfolio implementation, investment operations, model analysis, and investment due-diligence. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Financial Advisors to execute their clients’ investment strategies, maintain portfolio models, oversee portfolio rebalancing and ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of trades and investment-related operational processes across all client accounts. The candidate should enjoy solving complex investment and operational challenges, continuously improving processes, and serving as a trusted investment resource for our advisory team. The candidate should have a solid understanding of sophisticated investment products/strategies, model portfolios, financial plans, and alternative investments; along with an extensive background in executing trades in all asset classes: ETFs, Mutual Funds, Alternative Investments, Fixed Income, Structured Notes, Interval Funds, Money Markets, Derivatives/Options. Position Responsibilities Firm wide trading Processing trade requests from 10+ licensed advisors utilizing Schwab trading institutional platform Work with Investment Planning Associate to verify compliance and suitability of trade requests Analyze market conditions & market volatility for best execution prices Maintain Trade blotter for compliance on a trade-by-trade basis Confirm trades are filled & executed Rebalancing models and plans as requested by advisory teams Changing positions and or weights of existing holdings in our models through block trading Managing a large-scale investment or position change (example: from a structured note to another structured notes with better terms) Evaluating credit risk, realized gains, & suitability Tracking interval fund redemptions Cash creation for quarterly management fees Daily monitoring of cash flow transactions & creating cash for margin balances Proactive maintenance of cashflow on systematic deposits/withdrawals & auto trades required Creating cash for alternative investments and capital calls Structured notes Proactively quote notes through various sources Maintain client note purchase requests in adherence with inv plans Purchase notes on trade date under the firm’s master ID and allocate to designated accounts from purchase list Work with Fixed Income trading desk at Schwab to get bids for requested sells of structured notes as needed Track performance of notes (missed coupons of income notes, intrinsic value vs pricing of growth notes, etc.) Work with advisory teams as notes mature or get called for reinvestment Maintenance of Portfolio Management Program (Tamarac Reporting) Responsible for position definitions (utilizing Morningstar and other resources as needed) to define investments with accurate asset category, projected income, etc. Input and adherence to client Investment Plan Target Allocations Use of Tamarac reporting to run & manage bulk security reports Operational Processing Set up distributions (wires/money movements) for advisors after cash creation Monitoring & analyzing corporate actions & communicating with Advisors with any necessary implementations Tracking, processing, and documenting trade errors and cancel/rebills Roth Conversions (processing in kind conversions) Analysis & Research Cost Basis analysis of transferred positions with an emphasis on tax implications Confirming all alternative investments have accurate cost basis in our Tamarac system & work with Schwab to reset cost basis from 3 rd parties As needed by various advisory teams, research a position, investment or strategy Back test various strategies for viability Back testing & analysis of tactical trading strategies and models Heavy use Microsoft EXCEL for various trading strategies, model portfolios, work flow management, rebalancing & special projects (Vlookups, index/match, pivot tables) Due-diligence & compliance writeups on new alternatives/investments/strategies Use of Morningstar to run client existing snapshots & analysis of investment products Use of SIPS to run income projections Use of planning programs (money guide & retirement analyzer) as needed to assist Advisors Quarterly Investment Committee Report quarterly performance & analysis of our models, investments, strategies & indexes using Morningstar Create agenda & lead meeting; facilitating guest speakers, etc. Implement firm-wide changes resulting from meeting decisions Annual RMD Management Lead master “Required Minimum Distributions” project firm wide Calculating & tracking satisfied/needed/in-process RMDs Assist advisors in workflow management of their RMDs Qualifications Series 65 License REQUIRED 2+ years experience in Financial/Wealth Management trading, portfolio management, and operations Technology savvy; initiative to learn, explore, and implement new technology Advanced Excel skills Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across advisory teams Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Must be able to successfully pass both criminal and financial background checks Personable, professional, confident, flexible, quick worker under pressure Up to $100K/ year depending on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Singer Wealth
