Collections Specialist

Collections Specialist is responsible for the analysis of client accounts and procedures associated with implementing an approach to various collection matters. Responsibilities Perform some or all of the various collection function that include: Review and perform audit on associations' account status reports Process initial payment plan requests and agreements Prepare demand letter mailings and report for billing Coordinate and process all incoming inquiries regarding various collection matters Facilitate account turnover to third party collection firms Post charges to owner accounts as necessary Reconcile incoming funds for account settlements on homeowner accounts Assist in making deposits Assist in annual mailing of invoice and budget data to residents Assist in the continuation of developing and improving collection processes Work closely with the collection and AR team members to create ways to find success as a group Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Education, Experience and Skills Education/Experience: BS degree and/or 2-5 years of experience in Accounting or Collections (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Proficient in learning database software quickly. Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results. Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The work environment is characteristic of an office environment: sitting, standing, walking, bending and lifting are required to perform job responsibilities.
