We are standing up a new, state-of-the-art vinyl liner manufacturing operation in the Albany, New York area, and we are hiring the production team that will run it. Positions are expected to begin in late 2026 and early 2027 as the facility comes online. We are posting now because the people we want are working somewhere else today and deserve time to plan a move.

What You Will Be Working With

The operation is being built from the ground up with new, state-of-the-art production equipment:

• Industrial heat welding and sealing equipment for vinyl seams
• Equipment for attaching liner beads and finishing seams
• Automated cutting tables and conveyor cutting systems
• Industrial single needle walking foot sewing machines
• Roll handling, carousel roll storage, and cantilever racking
• Automatic strapping and packaging equipment
• Vinyl roll goods in a wide range of gauges, prints, and patterns, from standard sizes through fully custom measured liners
• Additional production equipment currently being specified and installed as the operation scales

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary by position and experience level. Across the team, the work includes:

• Cutting, welding, and finishing vinyl liner panels to pattern and to customer specification
• Reading and working from patterns, measurement sheets, and production tickets
• Setting up, operating, and adjusting welding, cutting, and sewing equipment
• Inspecting seams, dimensions, and print alignment against quality standards
• Handling, staging, and tracking vinyl rolls and finished goods
• Packaging, labeling, and preparing liners for shipment
• Keeping equipment clean, maintained, and running, and calling out problems early
• For lead and supervisory roles: directing daily production flow, training operators, managing schedule and throughput, and owning quality and safety on the floor

What We’re Looking For

We are hiring across experience levels, from people who have spent a career in liner production to people who have never seen a liner but know their way around a production floor.

• Direct vinyl liner manufacturing experience is a significant advantage and is not required for every position
• Experience with hot air welding, RF welding, heat sealing, industrial sewing, automated cutting, or similar fabrication work
• Ability to read patterns, measurements, and production documentation accurately
• Comfort with a tape measure and with fractions, and attention to detail that holds up at the end of a shift
• Reliability, and willingness to work overtime during peak season
• Ability to lift, stand, and move throughout a shift in a manufacturing environment
• Supervisory candidates: prior experience leading a production team, ideally in a sewn or welded goods, textile, upholstery, awning, tarp, or similar flexible materials environment
• Must be able to work on-site in the Albany, New York area

Training is hands-on and on-site. Schedule is first shift to start, with overtime available during peak production season.

Compensation

• Range: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour ($41,000 to $65,000 annually). Actual compensation will be based on position, experience, and level of responsibility and job-related skills

• Material Handler and Production Helper: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
• Machine Operator and Fabricator: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
• Lead Technician: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
• Production Supervisor: $54,000 to $64,000 annually
