Assistant Manager, Valet Operations

Responsibilities Support the day‑to‑day management of the valet operation to ensure an excellent guest experience, good client relations, and a professional and courteous image. Play a key part in creating and implementing a successful staging plan by utilizing all aspects of the location’s layout to ensure maximum parking capacity. Participate in programs to improve client and guest satisfaction. Ensure guests receive timely and exceptional service by: Courteously assisting guests by answering any questions they may have; Assisting guests in and out of their vehicle; Driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles safely and professionally; Having a thorough knowledge of all areas of the valet operation, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area. Create a staffing schedule according to anticipated daily vehicle volume. Maintain full compliance with standard operating procedures while ensuring the safety and security of vehicles and keys at all times. Prepare and process daily paperwork according to audit compliance standards. Quickly distinguish vehicle make and models; have a general knowledge of vehicle operations. Ensure drive lanes and crosswalks are clean of debris, water, oil spills, etc. Report any known accidents, observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager. Review damage claims. Assist with hiring, training, and coaching an excellent valet team. Substitute for any position, if necessary. Complete other duties as needed. Qualifications High school graduate. Minimum of six months of valet experience preferred. Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends as required. Must possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record. Excellent oral communication: speaks clearly; listens and clarifies; responds well to questions. Excellent written communication: writes clearly and informatively; able to read and interpret written information. Guest service orientation and positive attitude; responds to requests for service and assistance courteously and professionally. Adaptability: adapts to changes, delays, or unexpected events. Judgment: exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Physical demands: regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, lift or move up to 25 pounds. Salary range: $23.00 per hour.
