We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Controller with a strong emphasis on tax and audit to join our team. Job Description Position Summary The Accounting Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a particular focus on tax compliance and audit processes. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker who can manage complex financial tasks and ensure the company's financial health and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Ensure the timely and accurate completeness of balance sheet reconciliations. Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Execute ad hoc tasks as needed, responding flexibly to dynamic business requirements and changes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax and audit. Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and audit processes. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership and team management skills.
