CNC Machine Mechanic - Entry to Mid-Level
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a CNC Machine Mechanic for a Global Medical Device Company in Franklin, MA. Job Type: Contract 4+ Months Location: Onsite Franklin, MA Pay: $30.00$33.00 per hour DOE Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM3:30 PM; flexible start time with the workday ending no later than 5:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically skilled individual who wants to build a career in CNC machine maintenance. Extensive CNC experience is not required. The company is willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a hands-on attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Identify and report issues such as air leaks, oil leaks, and other maintenance concerns
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Assist with maintenance of CNC mills, lathes, EDMs, and other manufacturing equipment
- Analyze equipment issues and help prevent machine downtime
- Document maintenance activities and report problems to senior maintenance technicians
- Work with Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues
- Follow all safety, FDA, ISO, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing, mechanical, or maintenance experience; CNC maintenance experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Experience with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or troubleshooting is a plus
- Manufacturing experience in an FDA-regulated environment preferred
- Strong computer skills; SAP experience is a plus
- GDP (Good Documentation Practices) experience required
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and dependable
- Strong communication skills and a coachable attitude
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
