Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist to join our team in a freestanding facility. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab, focusing on imaging aspects during cardiovascular studies. The ideal candidate will have experience scrubbing and panning cardiovascular arterial and venous studies, including vascular angiography, angioplasty, arteriography, electrophysiology, hemodynamic measurements, and PPM/AICD insertion and replacements. You will work closely with cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons to provide exceptional patient care. Daily responsibilities include managing inventory, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will contribute to a cohesive and collaborative team environment, always prioritizing patient and staff safety. Key Responsibilities Perform professional radiologic procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Scrub and pan cardiovascular arterial and venous studies, including vascular angiography, angioplasty, arteriography, electrophysiology, hemodynamic measurements, and PPM/AICD insertion and replacements. Manage ordering of inventory and supply chain under facility PAR level. Monitor per case expense and offer cost‑saving ideas. Maintain and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and ultrasound equipment. Recognize overexposure of radiation and verbalize basic principles of radiation physics, biology, and radiation safety to minimize radiation levels to patients and staff. Adhere to AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, & Thank You) in all patient interactions. Maintain the department in compliance with rules and regulations set forth by governing accreditation agencies. Provide input on radiation safety to maintain Joint Commission accreditation, as needed. Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Accept reassignments and additional duties in a flexible and positive manner. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program or Radiologic Technologist Program. Must hold one of the following certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). Must meet state licensure requirements appropriate to certification and job function (e.g., Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist license and Fluoroscopy permit if ARRT certified). Current ACLS and BLS certifications required. Preferred Qualifications Not specified.
