Customer Service Representative

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join a fast-paced healthcare support team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others, thrive in a customer-focused environment, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will serve as a primary point of contact for callers, providing information, resolving concerns, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls and identify caller needs, questions, and concerns.
• Analyze issues, determine appropriate resolutions, and provide timely support.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and compassionate service.
• Educate callers on available programs, services, and benefits.
• Accurately document customer interactions using company systems and tools.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve complex issues and escalate concerns when necessary.
• Follow up on escalated cases to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop rapport with callers and adapt communication styles to meet individual needs.
• Meet or exceed established performance, quality, attendance, and call center metrics.
• Manage fax queues and support healthcare-related documentation processes as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be bilingual.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet navigation.
• Strong keyboarding and computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical records, Release of Information (ROI) processing, fax management, and queue management.
• Experience handling high-volume phone interactions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Escondido, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
