In this role, you will provide community-based psychiatric nursing services to individuals with serious mental illness, helping them achieve stability, independence, and improved quality of life.This is a unique opportunity to work outside of a traditional clinical setting and make a direct impact in the community.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide psychiatric nursing care in community-based settings (home visits, field work, office)Administer medications, including long-acting injectables, and monitor effectivenessConduct health assessments and ongoing wellness checksCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, therapy, case management)Assist with crisis intervention and client stabilizationEducate clients and families on medication and health managementComplete timely and accurate documentationQualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in New MexicoBehavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's license and reliable transportationCompetitive BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance for eligible employees with 75% employer contribution toward base plan election9 Paid HolidaysSick AccrualVacation AccrualBereavementParental Leave401(k) Retirement PlanEligibility for Federal HRSA Public Service Loan Repayment ProgramsBenefits eligibility may vary based on full-time or part-time employment status.Minimum Required Education: Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Nursing PracticeMinimum Required Experience: At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders; Ability to work with seriously mentally ill adults; Knowledge of psychotic and mood disorders, their related medications and potential side effects; Must demonstrate specific additional training or experience in psychological therapies, building a therapeutic alliance, dealing with challenging behavior, and the administration of psychiatric medication.
