About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. The CFO will be responsible for providing executive financial leadership and governance, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and decision support, and leading financial strategies to improve clinical and operational performance. This role requires a minimum of ten years of senior management experience in healthcare financial management, with a preference for those with experience in a large academic health system. The CFO will also be involved in academic medical center finance, faculty practice, and will be expected to have a strong background in financial transformation initiatives and large-scale performance improvement programs. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have a Master's degree in a related field and a proven track record of success in a similar role. Key responsibilities include developing and executing annual operating and capital budgets, providing financial oversight of academic and research enterprises, and building a high-performing finance organization. The CFO will work closely with the President and management team, attend Board meetings, and serve as the primary financial advisor. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to build trusted partnerships within a complex, matrixed organization. The role demands a strategic thinker with a high level of proficiency in financial management, and the ability to ensure that the company's financial systems and policies support its current operations and future growth.
