Industrial Maintenance Technician - Electrical/Mechanical

Job Full Description

A local company in Bloomington is seeking a dependable and experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting daily production operations in a manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

Repair and maintain industrial equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical controls, sensors, motors, and PLC-related issues
Assist with PLC programming, modifications, and system troubleshooting as needed
Perform MIG and Stick Welding as needed
Complete building repairs and general facility maintenance
Conduct machine setup and adjustments
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
Utilize various hand tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
Assist with additional duties as assigned

Experience Required

Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
Experience working on machinery and production equipment
Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair skills
PLC Experience required
Welding experience preferred (MIG and Stick)

Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive mindset with strong communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Full body mobility to maneuver around and work with machinery
Comfortable using various hand tools
High School Diploma or GED required

Location: Bloomington, IN

Position Type: Evaluation

Pay: $20.00 - $32.00/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
