Project ManagerThe Project Manager provides on-site direction for all aspects of construction for their assigned project. Manage project costs to ensure completion within budget expectations. Develop the project schedule in critical path steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. Responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. Also responsible for the leadership and development of the project staff. Project manager is responsible for ensuring that the project meets or exceeds customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision of Quality Managers, Office Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and Assistant Administrative AssistantsAssure that projects are staffed correctlyPlan and hold estimating hand off meetingPlan and hold project kick off meetingAssure that project planning meetings are heldAssure that pre-planning processes are followedAssist project team with project risk management strategyAnalyze and write subcontractsCreate subcontractor bid tabsInitiate pre-qualifications of potential subsReview with Superintendent all purchases for material, rental equipment, and forming systemsPrepare and submit proposed changes to OwnerChair weekly project meetingsPrepare monthly billing to OwnerMaintain proposed changesMonitor progress and maintain project scheduleExpedite material deliveriesReview monthly job cost reports and prepare forecastsMonitor safety programResponsible for project close out including preparation of all warranties, as-built drawings and maintenance manualsSkills & QualificationsDegree in the field of Construction Science or Engineering are preferred, however not required. 5-10 years of experience in ground up commercial construction, ground up experience in retail, office and industrial. Experience with scheduling software as Primavera & Procore is preferred. Experience on projects that utilized technologies such as digital plan rooms, BIM or laser scanning.
