Family Law Paralegal

Our client is a highly respected boutique law firm based in Livingston, New Jersey, specializing in family and matrimonial law. Known for providing exceptional client service and strategic legal counsel, the firm represents individuals in a wide range of complex family law matters. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join their close-knit and collaborative team. The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Family Law Paralegal with extensive New Jersey family law experience to play a key role in supporting attorneys throughout all stages of family law proceedings. The successful candidate will work directly with clients and attorneys on a variety of matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and post-judgment applications. Key Responsibilities Support attorneys in all phases of family law and matrimonial matters Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, Case Information Statements (CIS), and correspondence Prepare and organize financial disclosures and discovery materials Manage case files and maintain accurate records and documentation Coordinate court filings through New Jersey eCourts Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party professionals Assist with trial preparation, mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences Review financial records, tax returns, and supporting documentation Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedural requirements Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive client matters Candidate Profile Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Family Law Paralegal within a New Jersey law firm Strong knowledge of New Jersey family law procedures and court rules Experience preparing Case Information Statements (CIS) and family law pleadings Familiarity with New Jersey eCourts filing systems Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail Paralegal certificate preferred but not required Why Join?
