Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day, 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in specialty required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand required. Certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Step Down experience required; travel experience is acceptable. - Charge experience is preferred. - ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate completion during orientation required. - Must work at least every other holiday. Description: This position involves working in a step-down unit. The facility provides care for patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention. Candidates must have a strong nursing background with experience in step-down care. The role may involve rotating shifts, including night and day hours. Travelers are expected to meet operational needs and may face schedule changes as necessary. An acceptable score on assessments during orientation is required for continued employment. All required certifications must be active and submitted prior to hiring. Compliance with all facility policies regarding drug testing and nicotine use is necessary.
