Roofing Repair Division ForemanThe Roofing Repair Division Foreman is responsible for investigating, locating and repairing leaks and defects in commercial roofing systems including EPDM, PVC, TPO, Built-up Roofing and low slope metal. You would manage commercial roofing and roofing repair projects from start to finish and ensure the highest level of craftsmanship. Responsibilities also include customer interface and ensuring customer satisfaction, enforcing project schedules, problem-solving, maintaining project records and documents, managing necessary project documents, and physically inspecting the project to monitor progress and compliance with project standards.Our search is currently limited to qualified candidates living within the Hampton Roads commuting area.Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:Install and repair roofs with the use of commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).Inspect roofs for damage and investigate roof leaks.Diagnose the source of the leak and repair the roof in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.Provide adequate documentation of roof diagnosis and repair methods - photos and roof sketches will also be a requirement of this position as needed.Maintain the project construction schedule.Attend all Owner/GC and subcontractor coordination and preconstruction meetings, as required.Receive, review, and document the resolution to all project-specific issues.Responsible for making sure all materials required to complete the scope are inspected and available on site in a timely manner for installation.Field verify and provide necessary shop drawings/sketches for sheet metal fabrication.Assist the Project Manager in the implementation and coordination of on-site quality control. Hold onsite scope/QC meetings with crews and/or subcontractors before beginning each definable feature of work to ensure all parties are clear on the installation, execution, and quality expectations of the scope.Drive the importance of a safety-first mindset to everyone touching the project. Hold crews, subcontractors, and others accountable for all daily safety requirements, including daily safety huddles, toolbox talks, PPE, safety notifications, reports, and documentation, to ensure the jobsite and the company comply with all standards, rules, and regulations issued by OSHA at all times.Prepare Daily Reports each day to make sure no issues are overlooked, and that the jobsite is running as it should.Ensure that all jobsites are left in a weather-tight condition daily.Provide daily progress photos of the safety, roof installation, and nightly tie-in.Comfortable managing multiple projects at varying stages within a lifecycle, if necessary.Manage a small team of employees, providing oversight, direction, and mentoring in accordance with company policies and procedures.Resolve on-site issues.Hands-on installations, demonstrations, and ensuring proper applications as necessary.Conduct daily job site inspections, utilizing both written and photographic documentation.Foster and cultivate a team culture that aligns with the company's mission and values.Must reside within commuting distance of our main office in Virginia Beach, VA.This is an in-person, on-site position.Need to be able to obtain base access for ongoing projects!Position Specific Qualifications & Experience:3-5 years of commercial roofing industry experience.Must be able to obtain Military Base Access.Previous experience managing employees preferred.Understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction site safety practices.Knowledge and use of common hand tools required.Some periodic travel may be required.Blueprint Reading.Valid Driver's License.Must be 18 years of age.Must be punctual and reliable.Must be organized and have an eye for detail.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Dependable.Attention to Detail.Follow through.Excellent verbal and written communication.Proactively identifies potential issues.Solve problems calmly and collaboratively.Willingness to receive and give constructive performance feedback.Manage time and competing priorities.Ability to use and learn current and future technology.Ability to travel to jobsites as needed.Physical Demands:Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.Ability to perform job duties while standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, and climbing for extended periods.Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and on sloped surfaces.This position involves work at a construction site where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors.Overtime may be required from time to time to meet project deadlines.Dexterity of hands and fingers.Comfortable working on roofs at varying height and multiple stories.Salary:Range: $32 - $45/hrNegotiable – depending on experience.Paid Weekly on Fridays (Mon thru Sun Work Week) w/ paystubs emailed.Benefits:Health, Dental & Vision Insurance - Eligible after 30 Days, Enrolled on 1st of month - 50% of employee rate paid for employee for Health & Dental only.401(k) – w/ employer match up to 3% of annual income after (1) year of employment.Paid Time Off (8 Days) – New Year, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas + 2 additional days, usually utilized at Christmas and ThanksgivingEarned Leave (Vacation/Sick) – 80 Total Hours Accrued Annually Vacation (24 hours annually, accrued at 0.47 hours a week) – never expires, but caps at 24 hours.Sick (up to 56 hours annually, accrued at 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked) – never expires, but caps at 56 hours.Voluntary supplemental insurance options are available to employees at their own expense.Voluntary life insurance is available to employees at their own expense.EOE/M/F/Disability/VetDisclaimer: This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
