Restaurant General Manager

Dolores Park Cafe is seeking a Hands on Leader who enjoys and inspiring motivation working alongside the team. A can do attitude and enjoys learning as well as inspiring others!

Responsibilities include:

Café Operations

• Oversee daily café operations and ensure a consistently excellent guest experience.

• Lead opening/closing procedures, service standards, cleanliness, food safety, and day-to-day problem solving.

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate ordering with vendors.

• Ensure the café is properly staffed and operating efficiently throughout each shift.

Hiring & Team Development

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train café employees.

• Develop and coach the team to maintain high standards of service, hospitality, and performance.

• Create schedules and ensure appropriate staffing based on business needs.

• Address performance issues promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive team culture.

Financial & Business Management

• Take ownership of the café's P&L and understand the financial performance of the business.

• Manage labor costs through effective scheduling, productivity, and staffing levels.

• Monitor food, beverage, and supply costs and work to maintain appropriate COGS.

• Review sales and operating results and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

• Minimize waste, loss, and unnecessary expenses.

Leadership

• Be a visible, hands-on leader who works alongside the team.

• Maintain high standards while creating a positive and respectful workplace.

• Communicate effectively with ownership and provide regular updates on operations, staffing, and financial performance.

• Take ownership of problems and follow through on solutions.
