School-Based Mental Health Therapist – (LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LMFT)

No Weekends | No On-Call | Full-Time | Year-Round

Location: Pine River Schools | LeRoy, Michigan

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Family Health Care is seeking a School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health (E3) Program at Pine River  Middle/High School in LeRoy, Michigan. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice with a high degree of autonomy while remaining connected to Family Health Care's Behavioral Health team for consultation, support, and professional development. The E3 therapist is an active and visible member of the school community, building relationships that help increase access to behavioral health services for students and families.

This full-time, year-round position provides mental health services to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. As a Family Health Care Behavioral Health provider within the school, you will deliver assessments, intervention, treatment planning, referral, and follow-up services while collaborating with students, families, school staff, and community partners.

What You'll Do

• Provide mental health services to youth ages 5–21 experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns
• Complete behavioral health screenings, assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions
• Deliver individual services with the option of group services as appropriate
• Support prevention, referral, and follow-up services

• Build strong relationships with students, families, school personnel, and community partners to increase awareness of services and improve access to mental health care.

• Participate in school-wide mental health promotion and outreach activities
• Support school mental health crisis response efforts in collaboration with school administration and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Comply with all professional, ethical, and mandated reporting requirements

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in:

• Social Work
• Counseling
• Marriage and Family Therapy

• Current Michigan licensure as:

• LMSW or LLMSW
• LPC or LLPC
• LMFT

• Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Experience providing evidenced-based behavioral health services to children and adolescents
• Experience in school-based, outpatient, integrated care, or community behavioral health settings
