Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Minimum 2 years RN experience (first-time travelers not accepted) Travel experience required RN license: GA or Compact license required at the time of submission Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH (NIHSS listed) Core clinical skills: Telemetry care; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; care for ventilated patients and patients on BiPAP; management of acute cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, and sepsis presentations; familiarity with common telemetry/step-down diagnoses.

Monitor and assess patients in a telemetry unit, providing care to adults and geriatric patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, while maintaining a focus on patient safety and well-being. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system. Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.

Orientation: ~12 hours (non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length) RTO (requested time off): Max 7 days per contract; holiday RTO restrictions apply. Pre-approved time off: 1 shift approved per contract. Floating: Yes, within facility/scope and possibly to a partner facility. Scrub color: Navy blue.
