A soap and personal care products manufacturer is adding a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations within an assigned department at its large, highly automated production facility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who stays close to both the equipment and the team, builds trust on the floor, and holds people accountable. Candidates with a strong maintenance background and experience in a union environment are encouraged to apply.

Schedule: 2nd Shift.

Compensation: $115,000 to $135,000 base salary per year, plus bonus.

What You'll Do:

The Maintenance Supervisor builds, coaches, and develops a team of 16 mechanics and electricians through direct engagement, structured training, and consistent follow-through. This includes supporting the team on complex electrical and mechanical troubleshooting when production is at stake, and handling workforce planning responsibilities such as scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of maintenance staff.

The role holds the team to daily safety standards and works to build a culture where safe work is non-negotiable. The Maintenance Supervisor collaborates closely with production and engineering teams and contributes actively to capital improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
• Hands-on background diagnosing and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Manufacturing experience in a complex operation with a range of equipment types
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across departments and lead a team with consistency and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or technical certification (candidates with a high school diploma or GED and strong relevant experience will be considered)
• Track record of developing maintenance technicians and improving team performance over time
• Experience in a union manufacturing environment
• Background in high-speed packaging, CPG, food, or personal care products manufacturing
• PLC troubleshooting familiarity
