Fleet Dispatcher (Full-Time)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 PM - 6 AM

This position is located onsite in Piscataway, NJ (REMOTE WORK IS NOT AVAILABLE)

Bettaway Beverage Distributors, Inc., our regional trucking company located in Piscataway, NJ, is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher (Tractor/Trailers) . This is a unique opportunity to leverage your transportation knowledge at our state-of-the-art facility with opportunity for growth (willing to train from the ground up). Looking for a candidate who likes to work in a team oriented, fast-paced environment.

Hourly Rate is based on five (5) days per week; 10 hour days (overtime included)

Job Responsibilities:

• Executing on pre-planned driver routes for entire fleet using internal tools and systems, monitoring the routes and making adjustments where necessary.
• Provide clear directives to drivers to carry out their assigned routes. Field calls, emails, and texts from drivers to answer any questions that may have such as route questions, pick-up or delivery instructions, and/or in-transit issues that may arise.
• Over-communicate and act as the communication hub between drivers, customers and internal dispatch/planning team.
• Ensure the day-to-day success of our fleet operations by monitoring loads to ensure everything is running on time. Make adjustments where necessary and advise CS and/or management if loads predicated to not pick-up or deliver as scheduled.
• Proactively resolve issues as needed with poise and professionalism. Build strong relationships with drivers and customers.
• Input and audit data entry into TMS software. Identify any data discrepancies and correct errors timely to ensure accurate data provided to customers.

Preferred Education & Work Experience:

• Experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, supply chain and/or customer service, minimum of 2 years preferred.
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision-making skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; bi-lingual a plus.
• Excellent ability to prioritize and multi-task with good time management and organization skills.
• A proven track record in service, attendance and reliability.
• Maintain positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers, customers and other company staff.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment.

Technical Requirements:

• Computer applications experience including MS Office and TMW strongly desired.
• Knowledge of DOT Regulations.
• Must be able to work 10 hour day, ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary.
