Bindery Machine Operator - Print & Direct Mail

Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Work Hours: 5pm - 5am, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory
Pay: Starting at $19/hr based on skills and experience

What we are looking for:
Operator in Bindery is responsible for activities related to cutting and folding in our Bindery Department.

What you will be doing:  

• Operating and set up of Guillotine cutters and Folders 
• Perform emergency and daily equipment maintenance  to devise as required
• Complete departmental daily tasks including but not limited to housekeeping, communication and operations  
• Data entry of jobs being processes in Amsive ERP (Monarch)  
• Communicate to Lead, Supervisor, Manager and Team 
• Assist in special duties and projects as required by Management  

Who you are:  

• Experience in high volume direct mail, transactional print, or statement/mail manufacturing
• 1+ years operating bindery equipment in a commercial print or direct mail environment 
• Aptitude for accuracy and a meticulous eye for detail
• Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to document production activities and send/reply to e-mail correspondence 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• High School/GED education or combined education/experience   

Supervisory Responsibilities : Not responsible for supervising other employees. 

Work Environment : Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands:

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
