Accounts Receivable Specialist$23.00–$26.50/hr DOE | Santa Ana, CA Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PMA company in the food industry is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage customer invoicing, payment application, account reconciliation, and collections follow-up. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day A/R activities while working across sales, operations, and other departments. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience, strong Excel skills, excellent numerical accuracy, and professional customer communication.Accounts Receivable Specialist ResponsibilitiesGenerate and issue accurate customer invoicesApply incoming payments, including checks, ACH, credit cards, and wire transfersMonitor A/R aging and follow up on overdue balancesCommunicate with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepanciesInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies, credit memos, and customer inquiriesPrepare and maintain A/R aging reports and other financial summariesReconcile customer accounts and assist with month-end closing activitiesMaintain accurate records in the accounting systemCollaborate with sales, operations, and other departments as neededProfessionally handle and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiriesAccounts Receivable Specialist RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in accounting or a related field preferred2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experienceBilingual English/SpanishStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulasExperience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar accounting software preferredExcellent numerical accuracy and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skills with a professional customer service approachAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits of Working with Express Employment ProfessionalsWeekly pay and immediate benefitsEvaluation-to-hire opportunitiesPersonalized job matching and interview preparationNo fees for you, ever • Quick hiring processReady to put your A/R and Excel skills to work?
