Territory Manager - Personal Lines (Ohio - Cleveland)

Overview Nationwide’s Property and Casualty team is looking for a Territory Manager in the Cleveland area who is passionate about protecting people, businesses and futures with extraordinary care. The role focuses on building profitable relationships with independent agency distribution partners and driving personal lines revenue. Key Responsibilities Understand the strategic and operational goals of the assigned territory and distribution partners to develop mutually beneficial solutions using data, analytics and local market insights. Proactively identify and implement actions to achieve territory goals, including new business and transfer initiatives. Leverage Salesforce, Seismic and other tools to increase operational efficiency and report on performance. Gather partner feedback and share continuous‑improvement opportunities with business groups. Collaborate with personal lines, farm geography and corporate partners such as claims and servicing to solve problems and promote best practices. Complete the annual planning process, document agreements in Salesforce and hold partners accountable to commitments. Lead portfolio‑management meetings to align on territory goals, monitor portfolio data and drive top‑line and bottom‑line growth. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Strong background in the independent agency distribution channel with carrier‑side sales management experience. Ability to lead through influence and build results through effective partnership. At least 8–10 years of sales or sales‑management experience; prior property‑casualty or financial services experience is desirable. Must live within the Cleveland territory and be willing to travel frequently within the region. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required. The role does not qualify for employer‑sponsored work authorization; Nationwide does not participate in the STEM OPT Extension program. Education and Experience Undergraduate degree in business, insurance, sales, marketing or related field (preferred). Experience managing complex projects, coaching teams, and delivering customer‑focused outcomes. Job Conditions Frequent travel with potential overnight stays. Exempt from overtime; position requires regular in‑person engagement with agency partners. Position may require adherence to company travel and expense policies.
